Todd started TM Professional Painting in 1997, and he still runs it today. In his words:
I picked up a brush for the first time when a friend got me a job painting with him, and it came naturally from day one. I had always wanted to run my own business, so painting and that ambition lined up. Almost 30 years later, I still take pride in every detail, and I’ll tell anyone I believe I’m the best painter in Michigan. Honesty has built this company more than anything else. I’ve told plenty of homeowners their house didn’t need painting yet when I could easily have sold them the job. We’ve stayed smaller than the big painting companies on purpose, because growing that big means giving up the service our customers count on. I don’t hire just anyone who’s willing to work. Most of my painters painted my own house before I ever sent them to a customer’s. Before any job starts, I need to know you’ll get the best work my company can do.
Our painters
We only hire experienced painters, and most of them have been with us for years. They know our standards, they take pride in their work, and they can answer your questions right there on the job.
No one is learning the trade on your house. That is a big part of why the work holds up years later.
What you can count on
He walks every house himself and writes every price himself.
Once you agree to a price, it does not change unless you add more work.
You never pay to get on the schedule. You pay when the work is finished and you are happy with it.
If something is not right after we leave, call Todd and he will fix it.

Yes. Most of our work is in homes, and we also paint offices, stores, and other business spaces.
